Gozem, which is a highly popular app in  West Africa, has revealed plans to launch its fintech product, Gozem Money, in Togo, in collaboration with NSIA Banque. This marks a new chapter for the company as it expands its service offerings beyond transportation.

Originally launched in Togo in November 2018 as a taxi-hailing service, Gozem has rapidly grown its presence across the region. Now operating in 16 cities throughout Togo, Gabon, Cameroon and Benin, the platform boasts over one million registered users and has facilitated more than 20 million trips since its inception.

Integrating Financial Services in the Super App

The introduction of Gozem Money signals the company’s commitment to further integrating financial services into its super app ecosystem, providing its users with broader access to essential digital finance solutions.

Gozem has been steadily evolving into a super app, and its latest step in this direction is the upcoming launch of an innovative mobile money solution, Gozem Money. Set to roll out in the fourth quarter of 2024, this addition will further expand Gozem’s ecosystem by offering seamless financial services to its growing user base.

This strategic move shows that this company is truly dedicated to becoming a one-stop platform for everyday needs, as it continues to integrate services beyond its core transportation offering. By introducing a mobile money solution, Gozem aims to enhance financial inclusion across West Africa, providing users with easier access to mobile payments and other financial tools, all within the super app environment.

Empowering the Vast Customer Base in Togo

Gozem Money, launched in collaboration with NSIA Banque, will empower Gozem customers in Togo to utilize their Gozem wallet for a wide range of financial transactions. Users will be able to pay bills, make purchases both within and beyond the Gozem ecosystem, transfer money to other users, and manage their personal finances with greater efficiency.

This new offering is designed to provide seamless financial solutions, enhancing convenience for the company’s rapidly growing customer base.

Offering a Lot More than Monetary Exchanges

Gozem Money is crafted to do more than just enable seamless monetary exchanges and digital payments—it is positioned as a more accessible alternative to traditional financial services. By ensuring interoperability with existing platforms, Gozem Money aims to drive the widespread adoption and growth of digital financial services in the region.

This focus on interoperability allows Gozem users to connect with other financial systems, making it easier to perform transactions across multiple platforms. This not only simplifies digital payments but also supports the broader goal of enhancing financial inclusion by offering a versatile, user-friendly solution that integrates smoothly with the existing financial landscape in West Africa.
