Kori Leon, co-founder of Pixelverse, recently stated that their organization is adopting a distinctive approach in the industry. Instead of relying on lofty and unrealistic promises, they are dedicated to building a solid and engaged user base through genuine and sustainable efforts.

This commitment reflects their focus on delivering real value, setting them apart from others who might overpromise without delivering.

Concerns with the Trajectory of Blockchain Gaming

As gaming continues to play a crucial role in the Web3 landscape, there are growing concerns about the industry’s trajectory. Despite the considerable amounts of capital being raised for various new launches, there has been a noticeable trend of underwhelming gameplay in many blockchain-based games.

This discrepancy between the hefty financial backing and the actual gaming experience has led some to criticize the sector, pointing out that it has highlighted a less-than-satisfactory side of blockchain gaming. The expectation for innovation and quality seems to be falling short, raising questions about the future direction of these games in the Web3 space.

Kori Leon’s Disappointment with the Blockchain Gaming Scene

Kori Leon, who is the co-founder of the TON-based gaming ecosystem Pixelverse, has voiced concerns over this trend. Leon pointed out that even though some projects have secured considerable backing and investment, they have struggled to engage players effectively. He stated that the gaming scene as of late has been quite underwhelming.

While there is no denying that there was a considerable amount of fundraising for a multitude of AAA titles heavily supported by venture capital at inflated valuations, the results have been nothing short of underwhelming. A lot of the games released as of late have suffered from things like sub-par gameplay.

In most cases, these games have failed to attract a broad player base, drawing in only those speculating on the value of in-game assets rather than offering a compelling gaming experience.

Stressing on the Importance of Community Building

Leon also emphasized the critical role of community-building in the success of Web3 projects. He believes that in order to make the ecosystem truly flourish, company’s should start turning their focus towards the core elements that drive their success.

These include things like culture, distribution and most importantly, community. Leon firmly believes that focusing on these foundational aspects is key to creating sustainable and thriving Web3 environments.

Taking on a New Approach

Pixelverse, which successfully attracted more than fifty million players to Pixeltap, a mini game on Telegram, is adopting a unique strategy in the Web3 gaming space. Leon indicated that their goal is to cultivate a solid user base by steering clear of false promises.

He elaborated that Pixelverse’s forthcoming infrastructure and new game releases are designed to deliver a more genuine AAA gaming experience, reflecting their commitment to quality and authenticity.
